First Christian Church celebrates the reason for the season

The worship at First Christian Church in Greencastle on Dec. 15 will be a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.

Instead of preaching, this service will be Bible readings that take us from Adam and Eve's first rebellion against God to the birth of Jesus that takes away that separation from the Lord.

Each reading will be followed by many familiar and some newer Christmas carols.

The service is a non-threatening way to learn about the meaning and the purpose of Christmas.

First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is located at 110 S. Indiana St. in Greencastle, across from the Greencastle Fire Station.

Handicapped access is available from the parking lot entrance on the north side of the building, plus a wheelchair ramp directly into the sanctuary from Poplar Street.
