Imogene Elnora Chambers

Imogene Elnora (Craver) Chambers, 86, Bowling Green, passed away at the Waters of Greencastle, on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

She was born to Roy and Marjorie (Hurley) Craver on July 17, 1927. She married Argel O. Chambers on Nov. 13, 1943.

Elnora graduated from Bowling Green High School.

She worked along with her husband at Chambers Garage as the bookkeeper.

She loved to quilt and made quilts for her family. She also liked to garden and read. She loved animals, especially her Chihuahua "Buddy."

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband in 2005.

Elnora is survived by her son Owen D. Chambers and wife Carol of Bowling Green; her grandsons David Chambers and wife Lisa of Brazil and Mark Chambers and wife Kim of Huntersville, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Daylan Chambers of Brazil, Darci Chambers of Brazil, Kris Chambers of Huntersville and Lydia Chambers of Huntersville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Ave., Brazil. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with pastors Myron James and Frank Haines officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.
