Peace Lutheran hosts services on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day

Peace Lutheran Church, 1421 S. Bloomington St., Greencastle, invites the community to celebrate the birth of Christ on Christmas Eve with a traditional candlelight worship at 7 p.m.

A Christmas Day service will be offered at 10:15 a.m. to rejoice in the Good News of the coming of Jesus.

Familiar hymns and carols will be sung by the congregation.

Worship at 7 p.m. will include readings based on the Gospels of Matthew, Luke and John as well as Old Testament readings from Isaiah. Pastor Barber will close the celebration by leading the congregation in "The Service of Light" climaxed by a lighting of the candles and the singing of "Silent Night."

"Are You Going to Bethlehem?" will be the theme of the 10:15 a.m. Christmas Day Service. Everyone is welcome to join in worship as the congregation rejoices in the birth of Christ.
