Elks Hoop Shoot rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 4

The Elks Hoop Shoot free throw contest has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 4 at McAnally Center from 9 a.m. to noon.

The hoop shoot is a free throw shooting contest for boys and girls age 8-13.

Free to all participants, the hoop shoot provides youth an opportunity to compete, connect and succeed.

The Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Program provides a character-building, competitive experience for all participants. Through each level of competition, contestants support one another and learn to accept defeat or win gracefully.

Winners advance through district, state and regional Hoop Shoot contests.

Regional winners qualify for a trip to compete at the Hoop Shoot National Finals held April 10-13, 2014 in Springfield, Mass.
