Chamber's annual dinner at Dixie Chopper facility Jan. 25

The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce will mark the start of its 60th year when it stages its annual dinner on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The annual dinner will be at the Dixie Chopper Business Center at the Putnam County Airport off Ballard Lane this year.

"This event will mark the start of the Chamber's 60th year of serving and promoting our Chamber members as well as the Greater Greencastle Community," Executive Director Tammy Johnson said. "We are very proud of this accomplishment and look forward to this celebration with our members."

The evening will start with the Duke Energy Social Hour from 6-7:30 p.m.

During the extended social hour, DJ Jim "Figgy" Hardwick, whose appearance is sponsored by Hendricks Power Cooperative and Parke County REMC, will be playing music for the gathering, Amber Bowers of Amber Bowers Photography will be taking photos of couples and groups and the popular Ivy Tech Community College Silent Auction will be going on with appetizers and a cash bar available.

The annual dinner is sponsored by North Salem State Bank, and will begin at 7:30 p m. It is being prepared by Final Approach Restaurant. During the meal, Hardwick will continue to entertain with dinner music.

Following dinner the outgoing Chamber President Scott Herrick will speak, followed by his successor, Bret Hurley. The 2013 Chamber Board of Director of the Year and 2013 Putnam County Citizen of the Year will be announced and celebrated.

Tickets for the dinner are $30 per person or $240 for a table of eight.

Table sponsors are also being sought for the event at $35 per table. Chamber members sponsoring a table will get an on-table acknowledgement and a special mention in the event program. You do not have to attend the dinner to be a table sponsor.

The Chamber is also still accepting silent auction donations, asking that items be valued at $75 or more.

Donors will be listed in the evening's event program as well as on a professionally prepared sign at the silent auction tables, in front of your donated item or the item that was purchased with your cash donation.
