No. 1 DPU tops Allegheny 73-56

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The No. 1-ranked DePauw women's basketball team improved to 11-0 with its 45th straight win overall and 64th consecutive regular-season victory at Allegheny on Friday.

The 45-game win streak is now the fourth-longest in NCAA Division III history. The win was also the Tigers' 42nd straight North Coast Athletic Conference victory.

DePauw jumped out to a 46-23 lead at halftime before surrendering a second-half run to the Gators.

Tigers' junior Savannah Trees led all scorers with 17 points. Junior Ali Ross added 14 for DPU. Senior Alison Stephens had six points and 13 rebounds.

Allegheny (7-5, 1-2 NCAC) was led in scoring by Emma Pellicano.

DePauw travels to Hiram tomorrow at 2 p.m.
