Richard Glen Kiger, 68, of Indianapolis, formerly of Fillmore, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014.

Richard was born Oct. 27, 1945 in Putnam County to William F. and Imogene (Ader) Kiger. He was a 1963 graduate of Fillmore High School.

Richard was a supervisor at the Indiana Department of Transportation for 16 years, retiring in 2009.

He was a member of the Fillmore Christian Church and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his mother, Imogene of Avon; children William "Bill" D. Kiger of the Quad Cities, Justin Davis of Tennessee and Jamie Kiger Davis of the Quad Cities; six grandchildren; brothers Vince Kiger of Danville and Michael Kiger of Indianapolis; uncle Don Kiger of Greencastle and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his father William and wife Sandi.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, with visitation from noon until time of service. Burial will be at Fillmore Cemetery.
