County Jail

Five subjects were lodged in the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 11:55 a.m. on Thursday, Jacob Kenneth Nees, 32, Poland, was arrested for operating while intoxicated, battery with bodily injury and two counts of probation violation.

At 12:50 p.m. Dave Kelly Ingram, 25, Indianapolis, was charged with battery with bodily waste and with being a habitual felony offender.

At 1:55 p.m. Harold Dean Doane, 52, Greencastle, was held at the jail for probation violation.

At 6:39 p.m. John Thomas Crane Jr., 39, Crawfordsville, was booked in for contempt of court.

* At 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Ian Scott Cook, 19, Terre Haute, was arrested for possession of marijuana and operating while intoxicated.

Sheriff's Department

One minor property-damage accident was reported Thursday by the Putnam County deputies.

-- At 8:10 a.m. Matthew S. Bardonner, 27, Indianapolis, was westbound on State Road 240 in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am when he lost control of his vehicle, causing a spin.

He then sideswiped a 2002 Ford Ranger driven eastbound by Tyler J. Naumann, 18, Greencastle.

City Police

One arrest was reported Friday by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- At 10:30 a.m., Brandon Lee Sutherlin, 34, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Albert Epple and Chief Tom Sutherlin on the lot at Casey's General Store on Bloomington Street.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, he was charged with domestic battery.

One traffic citation was issued Thursday afternoon by Capt. Mike Hanlon.

-- At 4:06 p.m., Thomas E. Decker, 51, Greencastle, was cited for operating without financial responsibility after his vehicle reportedly hit a slick spot, ran off Indianapolis Road east of Longcastle Drive and struck a mailbox in front of Hometown Dental.
