LAURA ENGLISH, daughter of Mary Dixon of Coatesville and John English of Brownsburg, has been named to the Hope College dean's list for the fall semester.

To be named to the dean's list, a student must have a minimum 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Hope College is a four-year, co-educational, liberal arts college with an enrollment of 3,388 men and women and is affiliated with the Reformed Church of America.

Four local students have been named to the fall quarter dean's list for Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In order to be named to the dean's list, students must earn at least a 3.3 grade point average (4.0 scale).

JAKE GOULD of Greencastle is a junior civil engineering major. He is the son of Tim and Mary Gould.

JORDON PHILLIPS of Greencastle is a junior double major in software engineering and computer science. He is the son of Jeffrey and Janette Phillips.

ADAM ZIGLER of Fillmore is a junior applied biology major. He is the son of Rick and Debbie Zigler.

RYAN ZIGLER of Fillmore is a junior biomedical engineering major. He is the son of Rick and Debbie Zigler.

Rose-Hulman is a private college specializing in undergraduate science, engineering and mathematics education. For 15 consecutive years, the college has been ranked first nationally by U.S. News & World Report among engineering colleges offering a master's degree as its highest academic degree.

Three Putnam County students were named to the fall 2013 dean's list at Vincennes University.

ANDREW R. GENOTTE of Fillmore and TAYLOR R. DOWNING and ETHAN D. PAXTON, both of Greencastle, all earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

The Vincennes University Dean's List for fall 2013 includes students from the Vincennes campus, Jasper campus, Aviation Technology Center in Indianapolis, military bases, and other extended sites.

In recognition of outstanding academic achievement, the honors list has been released for the 2013 fall semester at the University of Southern Indiana. Dr. Ronald Rochon, provost, reported that 2,000 undergraduates were named to the honors list.

Among those honored were HALEY PIERCE of Greencastle, ELIZABETH BURNETT and AMANDA SALSMAN of Fillmore and CHELSEA HUGHES, EMILY JOHNSON, TAYLOR JONES, ASHLEY MCCALLIE and ANDREW NORTHRUP, all of Cloverdale.

Undergraduate students must achieve a 3.5 or better grade point average on a 4.0 system to be named to the honors list.
