Local players selected to WVFCA roster

Fourteen Putnam County seniors will represent their schools in the 10th annual Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association All-Star Game on Saturday, June 28.

The game will be played at Indiana State University's Memorial Stadium

Greencastle will have five representatives on the Gold Division team, coached by Brian Oliver of Linton-Stockton High School.

Tiger Cubs in the game will include offensive lineman Dustin Williams, wide receiver Seth Brown, defensive lineman Grant Mundy, quarterback Tyler Scott and running back Alec Pettit.

South Putnam, North Putnam and Cloverdale will be represented on the Black Division team, coached Chris Barrett of Terre Haute North.

The Eagles will be represented by offensive lineman Lane Hacker, linebackers Braden Patrick and Tayler Arnold and defensive back Wes Riner.

Cougar seniors on the roster include defensive linemen Ben Wiatt and Jake Smith, along with linebacker Grant Bryan.

The Clovers have two representatives in running back Andrew Howard and wide receiver/punter Wade Warren.
