William C. 'Bill' Gott

William ("Bill") C. Gott, 49, of Eminence, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 after a brief battle with liver cancer.

He was born born Dec. 15, 1964.

He leaves behind his wife, Marsha Lewis Gott, and his two sons shared with Debra Gott, William Charles (Billy) Gott, 25, and Justin Lee Gott, 18.

He is also survived by his mother, Patricia A. Gott and her companion, Clarence Burnside; three siblings, Cathy L. Gott and her companion Gail Corlette, Jerry L. Gott and his wife Cindi, and Stanley P. Gott and his wife, Kelly.

He was blessed with six nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and nephews, and his uncle, Stanley J. Moorefield.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Jerry L. Gott Sr.; one sibling, Dennis A. Gott, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He loved life and his passion was his family. Bill also leaves behind many friends. He was loved and adored by all.

He was a man of honesty and integrity. He was his boys' best friend. Bill was a man of many talents and great strength.

He had previously worked at Ed Sherman's Moving, Bradford Woods, Lieber SRA and Koger's Truck Stop.

At Bill's request, he will be cremated and the family will host a memorial service to celebrate his life Eminence High School multipurpose room on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. All of Bill's family and friends are invited to pay tribute and celebrate the life of an awesome man, Bill Gott.
