Thursday, January 23, 2014
A wind chill advisory is in effect for all of central Indiana through 1 p.m. Friday as gusty winds and below-zero temperatures are expected to combine for a dangerous period of extreme cold.
Wind chills of -15 to -25 are expected Friday morning as winds increase. Gusts up to 35 mph are possible Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, snow is expected to develop Friday night with a couple inches of accumulation possible. Gusty winds will compound that with blowing and drifting likely.
The snow is expected to end Saturday morning but there is a chance of snow again Sunday and Sunday night. Following that, extremely cold temperatures are once again expected after the weekend.
