Tim Mink of Poland won the inaugural Big Buck Classic sponsored by Buck and Dumb Bass Outdoors of Cloverdale.

The inaugural Big Buck Classic sponsored by "Buck And Dumb Bass Outdoors" in Cloverdale concluded at the end of deer season on Sunday, Jan. 5.

Although there were many respectable bucks checked by the new outdoors store in Cloverdale, most of those hunters were not entered in the contest.

This year's winner was an eight-point buck taken by Tim Mink of Poland that scored 110 contest points which is equal to a 130-class deer. Second place in the contest was a 10-point buck taken by Jeremy Miller of Greencastle.

The winner received $480, a Primos trail camera, a Big Dog ladder stand, Buck and Dumb Bass hooded sweatshirt, T-shirt and koozies.

A number of other hunters won prizes in drawings held throughout deer season: Ronnie Williams of Quincy won ThermaCELL mosquito repellent; Mike Goldman of Poland won an Outdoor Edge swingblade knife; Anson McKamey of Cloverdale won a Buck 110 hunter folding knife; Paul Manuel of Indianapolis won a Big Game camo hunting seat; Frank Manuel of Indianapolis won a Horsehead Calls premium handmade slate turkey call; and Nina Petrey of Reelsville who won a Primos trail camera.
