Mary Ruth Collier

Mary Ruth Collier, age 75, Coatesville, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at her residence.

She was born in Putnam County Hospital on March 28, 1938, the daughter of August Goss and Imogene Todd Evans.

She married Maurice Fredrick Collier on July 10, 1960, and he survives.

She was a retired schoolteacher having taught at Greencastle, Stilesville and Amo, later Mill Creek West.

She was a member of the Amo Baptist Church where she served she served as secretary, pianist, teacher and also served on the Christian Board.

She also was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa, Hendricks County Retired Teachers, Indiana State Retired Teachers and the Tuesday Club.

Mary Ruth enjoyed playing euchre, board games, reading and using the computer.

She is also survived by sons Brent Evan (Tamara), Douglas Alan (Rebecca) and Jeffrey Todd (Laura) Collier; grandchildren Taryn Elizabeth, Andrew Todd, Mitchell Thomas, Shelby Leeann, Makayla Marie, Blake Evan, Adelynn Renae, Ella Lynne, Laney Joy and Owen August.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6 at Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville (www.bousleyhaysfuneralhome.com).

Burial will be in Stilesville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.

Contributions may be made to the White Lick Heritage Foundation in lieu of flowers.
