Horizons of Putnam County spring classes to begin soon

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

After a successful lineup of classes last fall, Horizons of Putnam County is offering a rich and varied group of new courses for the current spring session.

Founded in 1996 to offer "an adventure in lifelong education," Horizons offers a range of courses twice a year to Putnam County citizens and strives to provide opportunities for participants to expand their own horizons, develop new interests, or encounter new ones.

Horizons is a non-profit organization and its instructors come from all over our community. The instructors take part in the program because they're excited about their topics or hobbies and they have a genuine wish to share their enthusiasm with others.

Courses vary in length from one-day sessions to a one-session-a-week-for-several-weeks format. Locations for the classes are selected by the instructors.

Anyone interested in leading a Horizons course in the future, or if there's a course you would like to see, may contact the Putnam County Public Library Reference Desk at 653-2755, extension 124, or email horizonspc@gmail.com.
