Emhardt named Player of the Week

DePauw senior Caroline Emhardt (Carmel/Park Tudor) has been selected as North Coast Athletic Conference women's tennis Player of the Week for her performance in leading the 12th-ranked Tigers to a win over No. 9 University of Chicago on Sunday.

Emhardt teamed with junior Maggie MacPhail (Indianapolis/Park Tudor) for an 8-5 win over Chicago's Jordan Appel and Tiffany Chen at number-two doubles and then defeated Stephanie Lee at fifth singles 6-0, 5-7, 1-0 (10-3).

The 6-3 win for DePauw avenged a 5-4 loss to the Maroons just eight days earlier at the ITA Indoor National Championship.

DePauw returns to the courts on Sunday, March 16, when it hosts Wittenberg in an NCAC West Division match starting at Noon.
