NP Middle School choirs earn gold ratings at contest

On Saturday, March 15, the North Putnam Middle School Seventh and Eighth Grade Choirs participated in the Indiana State School Music Association Organizational Contest at Cloverdale High School.

Both choirs earned a gold rating from all three judges.

The first choir performed the songs "Ye Shall Have a Song," "Sing Hallelu" and "How Beautiful is the Rain."

The second choir performed "Rhythm of the Rain," "Sing With Joy" "and "Sing Out With Praise."

The choir is under the direction of Kelly Thomas and accompanied by Kathi Elliott.

Members of the first choir participating in the contest are Jordan Adam, Payton Barthalow, Emma Blanford, Tristen Bobbitt, Kierstin Boller, Kayla Bray, Kyla Burris, Boston Campbell, Braxton Carls, Brendan Chandler, Abigail Clodfelter, Meagan Crowder, Jaden Day, Ali Elmore, Craig Frost, Josie Fulwider, Jacinda Garver, Katie Gilliam, Elizabeth Graves, Sierra Hacker, Shellby Hook, Dylan Kenworthy, Garrett Kindle, Kirtlyn Mitchell, Andrew Moore, Shalyn Nelson, Linsey Oats, Desmond Parks, Jordan Pope, Josh Propes, Cory Randall, Kara Phillips, Chevelle Tallman, Charity Teckenbrock, Mary Timm, Jazlyn Tipton, Sophie Wishert, Tyler Wright and Makayla Yockey.
