Denison tops DPU men's lacrosse team in NCAC matchup Saturday

The fifth-ranked Denison Big Red dominated the Tigers in all facets of Saturday's North Coast Athletic Conference men's lacrosse showdown, defeating DePauw by a score of 21-0.

With the win, Denison improved to 9-0 on the year and 2-0 in NCAC play, while the Tigers dropped to 3-6 overall and 1-1 in the NCAC.

The Big Red held a 72-12 edge in shots and won 15 of the 25 faceoffs, while holding a 36-25 advantage on ground balls.

Denison was successful in all 18 clear attempts and committed just 10 turnovers to the Tigers' 23.

In all, 17 different players scored goals for the Big Red who tallied 10 assists in the contest.

Tom Kryspin totaled 19 saves for the Tigers, while J.R. Strubbe had one.

Chirs Thomas had three saves for Denison, while Clark Bullington added four.

DePauw lacrosse is back in action Saturday, April 5, when they travel to Wooster for a 1 p.m. contest.
