Keith Smiley

Keith Smiley, 69, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014.

Born Jan. 28, 1945 in Greencastle, he was the son of Charles and Geraldine (York) Smiley.

Keith worked several years with the State Highway Department as a truck driver and inspector.

He was a member of the Indiana National Guard for more than 27 years.

Keith loved animals, especially his dog, Spice, and his cat, Charlie.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta Smiley; daughters Marla (David) Fields and Angela Smiley; his mother, Geraldine Smiley; sisters Shirley (Clifford) King, Brenda (Lonnie) Keeney and Darlene (Robert) Bell; brothers Richard (Sandy) Smiley and Harold Smiley; sister-in-law Ilene Smiley; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Clifford Smiley; stepson Robert Phipps; and a grandson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 7 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment with military rites will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at funeral home.
