* At 11:50 a.m. on Sunday, March 23, Kathy Vorhies, 57, Greenwood, was westbound on County Road 1000 South, just east of County Road 550 East.

Vorhies told Lt. Donnie Pettit that she swerved her 2002 Dodge Dakota to avoid an oncoming vehicle in the middle of the roadway. Vorhies then lost control and went off the south side of the roadway, striking a tree.

Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.

* At 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, Joseph S. Standeford, 22, Monrovia, was westbound on County Road 625 West.

Standeford advised Deputy Kyle Gibbons that while making a gradual turn up hill, he lost control of his 2007 Chevrolet Silverado due to a malfunction in the power steering.

He then left the roadway and struck a Verizon telephone pole with the right front of his vehicle. Impact caused severe damage to not only the vehicle, but also caused the pole to snap in half and fall into the roadway.

Due to the collision, the pole made impact with the right front side of Standeford's truck and tailgate before it fell. Standeford also made impact with a rock retention wall belonging to Albert Gazvoda.

Sgt. Gregg Slover noted that Conner left the north side of the roadway of the eastbound lane, crossing into the median and damaging the undercarriage of her vehicle on a concrete culvert.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 8:12 a.m., Megan L. May, 30, Greencastle, was eastbound on U.S. 36.

Impact with the guardrail caused the car to spin almost 180 degrees before coming to rest with the driver's door against the rail.

Approximately 25 feet of the guardrail and the rail-end was destroyed.

Clinton and Bainbridge volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.
