Cleo D. Chastain, 88, of Roachdale, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center.

Cleo was born on May 23, 1925 at Campbellsburg, Ind., to Casper Cleo and Blanche Perdiew Chastain. They both preceded him in death.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later retired from the Army Reserve as a captain after 30 years.

He retired from Allison's at Indianapolis as a machinist after 30 years.

He was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church, Roachdale VFW and the American Legion at Danville and the Roachdale Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by one son, Robert D. and his wife Judy of Ladoga; two daughters, K. Sue Chastain of Waveland, and Amy Cloncs and husband Lewis Richards of Roachdale; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his son, Stephen Chastain, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.

Burial will be at Roachdale Cemetery. Roachdale VFW will have military honors.
