Robert Mervin Walker

Robert Mervin Walker, 51, of Greencastle, passed away suddenly Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Terre Haute Nursing and Rehab.

Bob was born in Putnam County on March 7, 1963, the son of Robert L. and Dorothy J. (Phillips) Walker.

He was a 1981 graduate of South Putnam High School.

Bob was loved by all and never met a stranger. His memory will be cherished.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Walker and Dorothy Jane Walker, and his brother-in-law, Fred Hanks.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Becky (Snow) Walker and daughter Keshia Nichole Walker; his sisters, Mary Jane (Walker) Hanks and Leesa Dru Walker; brother-in-law Donald G. Thompson; nephews Robert Steven Heller and Alfred Rays Hanks; a niece, Tina Jane (Heller) Valentine; and 13 great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 10 at Traditions in Brazil. Friends may gather at Traditions from 1-4 p.m.

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lawson Miller Chapel, Brazil.
