Page for Baird

Sunday, April 13, 2014

Heather Goss, an 18-year-old Cloverdale High School student, recently served as a legislative page for District 44 State Rep. Jim Baird (R-Greencastle). Goss was able to see how the state legislature works firsthand. The Indiana House Page Program is an educational way for students to gain a better understanding of the lawmaking process by meeting their state representative and witnessing how laws are made firsthand. Pages get to work alongside legislators, legislative assistants and interns, and on session days, they can experience how a bill becomes a law as they watch issues debated on the House floor.
