Banner Graphic: What was different about going into this offseason being a senior as opposed to others?

Bailey Ault: Going into this season I wanted to play to the best of my potential. My best position has always been first base and being able to play first this year verses catching most of the season last year has been very exciting for me.

BG: What are your individual goals and your team goals this year?

BA: My personal goal I set for myself is no strikeouts all season. I know that's almost impossible but I wanted to challenge myself. So far I'm 30/30 on no strikeouts. As far at team goals go we would like to place first in county and and win sectionals and move on to regionals.

BG: Who are some of your best friends on the team and why?

BA: The one best friend on the team is my sister Brittney Ault. Due to an injury she is now our dugout cheerleader. It is exciting to enjoy my senior year with my sister.

BG: What are some life lessons you have learned from sports?

BA: The biggest life lesson I have learned is that hard work pays off and to never give up. I have played softball for 14 years including travel ball for seven years. I have learned to persevere through challenges in my life because of softball.

BG: What has been your fondest memory of participating in sports?

BA:My fondest memory participating in softball was playing 2 a.m. tournament games out of town with some amazing girls. Also having my father coach me for my whole softball career and pushing me to be the best I can be.

BG: What are your plans for after high school?

BA: My plans for after high school are to attend Saint Mary of the Woods college in Terre Haute and to major in Elementary education and minor in special education.
