Wilbur Douglas, 74, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

Born May 18, 1939 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Alfred and Margaret (Walker) Douglas.

He married Hilajean (Wells) Douglas on Sept. 3, 1985, and she survives.

Wilbur had been a truck driver for Schwermann Trucking for 27 years, retiring in 1996. He was a former member of the Greencastle Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Hilajean Douglas; children Richard (Laurie) Douglas, Cheryl (Edward) Gross and Alan (Becky) Douglas; stepchildren Kevin Daniels and Angie Daniels (companion Hope); grandchildren Holly (Josh) York-Smith, Christopher Douglas, Briana Bryant, Bobby Bryant, Britney (Chris) Nichols, Ashley Douglas, Katie Douglas and Josie Douglas; stepgrandchildren, Courtney (Chris) Jackson, Michael Scott Daniels, Elijah Daniels, Justus Daniels and Heaven Daniels; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wayne Douglas and a sister, Lucille Rains.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 28 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with interment to follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. on Monday, until time to service.
