County Jail

Four people were recently booked into the Putnam County Jail.

* At 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, Corey Len Duff, 36, Greencastle was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct..

At 9:28 p.m., Shane Michael Baker, 29, Fillmore, was arrested for battery.

At 9:45 p.m., Michael Ryan Runnells, 29, Cloverdale, was arrested on a parole violation.

* At 12:35 a.m. on Friday, Kevin Keith Huber, 48, Franklin, was arrested for failure to appear.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department has responded to numerous calls and two medical assists this week.

* At 11:18 p.m. on Friday, April 18, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 110 E. Larabee St. The alarm had been triggered by a smoke machine being used for entertainment.

* At 9:08 a.m. on Sunday, GFD was dispatched to an arcing power line at 500 Linwood Ave. The power company was notified of the incident.

* At 3:17 p.m. on Sunday, GFD was called to a fire alarm at 505 S. Jackson St. The alarm was triggered due to cooking.

* At 3:36 p.m. on Sunday, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 2200 E. State Road 240. An investigation revealed no fire to be found.
