'Altered book workshop' set for Tuesday at PCPL

Altered book creations on the agenda for Tuesday.

The Putnam County Public Library will host an Altered Book Workshop with artist Barbara Fields Timm on Tuesday, April 29.

Books will be available to cut, paste, reshape and reinterpret at no cost during the 5-8 p.m.

Timm is a painter and mixed media artist whose work has appeared on the covers of Branches magazine, the DePauw magazine spring 2009, Outdoor Indiana and The Sow's Ear Poetry Review, among others. Her work is currently is featured in an article on Artspan.com.

She is a recipient of multiple awards, including several Indiana Individual Artist Grants.

Timm received her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania, currently works as program coordinator for the Putnam County Public Library, teaches a seminar on Art and the Environment at DePauw University, and maintains a rural studio in Reelsville.
