* At 12:54 p.m. on Friday, April 25, Paula A. Lantzy, 41, Rockville, was southbound on Manhattan Road, just north of County Road 550 South.

Deputy Ronnie Campbell noted that Lantzy left the roadway for unknown reasons and traveled into a ditch hitting several trees with her 1999 Dodge Ram.

Damage was estimated at $2,501-$5,000.

* At 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jessica B. Rentchler, 18, Lafayette, was traveling eastbound on State Road 236 just east of U.S. 231.

Rentchler advised Cpl. Josh Boller that she was accelerating and closing the distance to the eastbound vehicle that was in front of her when she felt a bee in her shoe.

At that time, she attempted to push the brake pedal, but accidentally pushed the accelerator in her 1996 Toyota Camry.

Therefore, Rentchler swerved to the left into the westbound lane of travel to keep from rear-ending the vehicle in front of her. Rentchler at that time lost control of her vehicle causing it to slide sideways back into the eastbound lane of travel and into a ditch.

She advised Boller that she traveled into the ditch at a high rate of speed, causing the vehicle to flip on its top.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.
