Banner Graphic: Which of the sports you play is your favorite? Why?

Jake Schroer: It is hard to chose. My favorite sport is probably baseball which I have played since I was four.

BG: Who has had the biggest influence on you in your life?

JS: By far the biggest influence in my life are both of my parents. They showed me at a young age to be competitive, honest and to give everything my best effort.

BG: What has been your favorite high school memory?

JS: One of my favorite experiences was being a freshman in baseball. The very first game I dressed varsity was in the middle of the season and I started at first base. I remember everybody being so much older than me and I was very nervous. I got to play with guys like Seth Hammond and Rob Gibson which was such a great experience. I am still playing with the confidence that those seniors instilled upon me my freshman year.

BG: What has been the biggest lesson you've learned from sports?

JS: The biggest lesson I have learned is to be dedicated in everything I do. In every sport the person who works the hardest can achieve the most.

BG: How much have you learned from your team?

JS: I have learned so much from my teammates. This year in baseball I have realized that a group of guys who want to play for each other is the recipe for success. This year in baseball we are winning games and at the same time having fun.

BG: What are your plans for after high school?

JS:After high school I am planning to attend Indiana Wesleyan and pursue a degree in Political Science.
