Paul J. Oty

Paul J. Oty, 79, of Fillmore, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

Born July 28, 1934 in Pike County, Ohio, he was the son of Archer and Agnes (King) Oty. He married Wilamena "Billie" (Sylvester) Oty on May 19, 2000 and she survives.

Paul had been a truck driver with United, now Marathon, for more than 35 years, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his wife Billie Oty; sons Darold (Cynthia) Oty and Terry (Sandra) Oty; a brother Danny (Annabelle) Oty; sister Shirley (Roger) Maxson; three stepchildren, Gary (Mary) Heisler, Cheryl Heisler, and Teri (Tom) Wolff; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mae Oty, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 10 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Fillmore Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 9 at the funeral home.
