* At 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, Elois A. Lynch, 49, Detroit, was traveling eastbound on Interstate-70 near the 38-mile marker.

Upon Deputy Phillip Troyer's arrival, he observed a semi-truck in front of a Budget moving truck hauling a trailer with a vehicle loaded on the back, parked in the fast lane of the interstate.

Troyer was advised by Michael J. Simms, 40, St. Ann Mo., that he was traveling eastbound in a 2012 International semi-tractor, when he observed Lynch in front of him a good ways, swerving from the driving lane and into the median.

Simms noted that the vehicle swerved and cut in front of him, striking the right front of his semi.

Lynch advised Troyer that she was traveling eastbound in the driving lane at approximately 45-50 mph and that semi trucks were passing her when she felt a nudge in the rear of the vehicle.

Lynch went on to note that the Ford Budget truck then began shaking, so she turned the wheel to the left to try and drive out of it when she lost control causing her to drive into the median before coming to a stop in the fast lane.

She also informed Troyer that she didn't cross onto the south side of Interstate 70 and did not hit anything, she was struck from behind, causing damage to the cargo behind hauled by the truck.

Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.
