Della Mae Hood

Della Mae Hood, 87, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1926 in Putnam County to Earl Benjamin Frazier and Bertha Florence McHargue Frazier.

She married Gerald H. Hood in 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1995.

Mrs. Hood was also preceded in death by her parents; four children, Sherry McClain, Larry Dee Hood, Garry Lee Hood and Jerry Gene Hood; a grandson, Eric McClain; a brother, Harvey Frazier, and a sister, Dorothy Dickerson.

Surviving are her children, Geraldine Sweet and husband Jim of Palm Harbor, Fla., Terry Hood and wife Naomi of Cincinnati, Darlene Johnson and husband Bobby of Bloomington, Tammy Cooper and husband Michael of Greencastle, Gerald "Jerry" Hood and wife Alicia of Avon, Robin Hood of Indianapolis, Bobby Joe Hood of Bainbridge, and Timmy Hood of Beech Grove; 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 30 at Clinton Falls Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Faust officiating.
