Donald Ray Williams

Donald Ray Williams, 76, of Greencastle passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014.

Don was born on Aug. 12, 1937 in Putnam County to Chester Ray Williams and Thelma Eileen Head Williams.

He retired from Olin Brass in Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Larry Ray Williams and Charles Wayne Williams; his wife, Jacqueline Ann Williams; and two brothers, Chester Wayne Williams and Thomas Dale Williams.

Surviving are a son, David B. Williams; his daughter, Catharine Slavens and husband Chad; a brother, Melvin "Gene" Williams and wife Rosemary; a sister, Marilyn Wools and husband Hubert; six grandchildren, Jake Alder Williams, Megan Marie Williams, Lane Michael Slavens, Braiden Slavens, Cole Slavens and Riley Slavens; and two great-grandchidren, Jesse Williams and Laylah Jane Cromwell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30 at 10 a.m. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with Chaplain Steve Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
