County Jail

Several people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Andrea Nicole Thomas, 22, Mooresville, was charged with theft.

At 7:30 a.m., Josef Efram Minartz, 29, Greencastle, was charged with public intoxication.

* At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Victoria Anderson, 29, Clover-dale, was charged with neglect of a dependent.

At 12:06 a.m., Robert Wade Sims, 25, Fillmore, was arrested on a probation violation.

* At 12:28 a.m. on Thursday, Robert Alan Jones, was arrested on a probation violation, driving on a suspended license, failure to appear and possession of a device, which interferes with a drug screen.

At 2:55 p.m., Melissa Ann Miller, 36, Greencastle, was charged with a probation violation.

City Police

A hit-and-run accident Tuesday afternoon resulted in an Indianapolis man being charged with driving with a suspended license with a prior offense, Greencastle City Police reported.

At 12:43 p.m., Officer Darrel Bunten responded to the report of a hit-and-run accident at Indiana and Franklin streets.

The victim was Mary Rose, 47, Greencastle, driving a 2002 Dodge Dakota, which was rear-ended by a 1999 Pontiac Sunfire, driven by Ryan Marr, 37.

Marr then left the scene of the accident, police said.

He was located by Officer Bunten 20 minutes later, however, at Indianapolis Road and Fifth Street.

Total damage in the accident was estimated at $2,500-$5,000.
