100th Bainbridge Banquet June 28

BAINBRIDGE -- The 100th annual Bainbridge High School Alumni Association banquet is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 in the Bainbridge Community Building.

Social hour will begin at 5 p.m. with the buffet dinner following at 6:30.

The program will be highlighted by "A Walk Through Memory Lane" entertainment celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Bainbridge High School (BHS) Alumni Association.

The entertainment cast will include several BHS alumni and friends.

Classes to be honored this year at the Banquet include: 1944 (70 years since graduation), 1954 (60 years since graduation) and 1964 (50 years since graduation).

Class speakers scheduled to make responses include Sara Bettis Janson of Noblesville for the 1954 class and Alan Ader of Rockville for the 1964 class.

An update on the new Bainbridge High School Alumni scholarship endowment with the Putnam County Community Foundation will be shared by Janet Houser O'Hair (Class of 1969) of rural Greencastle.

The public may purchase tickets for the banquet until June 21 by contacting secretary Brenda Brackney Heacock, of rural Greencastle at 739-6380 or treasurer Joe Martin, of Greencastle at 301-9092.

Other officers of the Bainbridge High School Alumni Association this year include: Marilyn O'Hair Winters of rural Rockville, president; Janet Austin Parker of Indianapolis, vice president; and Alan Ader, corresponding secretary.
