Beefcake Burger challenge event added to local July 4 festivities

Like Charlie's Beefcake Burgers? Then Celebrate 4 has the perfect event "stacked up" for you and your organization.

The "All-American 10-Stack Burger Challenge" eating contest, hosted by the Celebrate 4 Committee, is set for Friday, July 4 at 4:30 p.m. in the bandshell at Robe-Ann Park in Greencastle.

Beefcake Burgers will be donated by Charlie's, the local affiliated restaurant of Beefcake Burgers. All proceeds from the event will be used toward the expenses for the July 4 fireworks and entertainment.

Pre-entry fee is $35, while entry the day of the challenge is $40. Entry deadline is 2 p.m. Friday, July 4.

Pre-entry forms, contest rules and information about the "All American 10-Stack Burger Challenge" eating contest can be picked up at City Hall, 1 N. Locust St., Greencastle, or found on the city website at www.cityofgreencastle.com.

Only 15 entries will be available so contestants are urged to act fast in choosing a representative from their sports team, business or organization to accept the 10-stack burger

challenge.

  • Good grief. I realize this contest is for fun, but really couldn't you come up with something that isn't going to promote and contribute to obesity and heart disease? Just a thought.
