Summer Construction

Thursday, July 10, 2014

Following months of discussion, construction has finally begun on the weight room facility at South Putnam High School/Middle School. The project, which was awarded to M.S.I. Construction Inc., will be a total of 4,544 square feet and is located in front of the middle school. The facility, which will truly be just one large room will also include restrooms. Originally, the board had hoped to build a multipurpose room that included batting cages, wrestling mats and possibly a practice court. However, due to budget constraints the project had to be scaled back. The project is expected to be completed on or around Aug. 26.
