Owner-occupied perimeter expanded for home repair portion of Stellar project

Thursday, July 17, 2014

The City of Greencastle received funding from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) for home repairs as part of the ongoing Stellar Community Grant project.

People who own their own homes and meet HUD-required income guidelines are eligible. Originally those funds were to be used only in the specified Stellar Grant area.

"Since we still have some funding left," Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray announced, "we have asked IHCDA for

a modification of our grant, which they approved. That allows us to offer this program to homeowners anywhere in the Greencastle city limits."

For more details, interested people can call City Hall at 848-1515 or Star Development, the grant administrators, for this program, at 765-478-6512.
