Glorianne 'Gloria' Phillips

Glorianne "Gloria" Phillips, 68, of Reelsville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute.

Gloria was born in Putnam County July 3, 1946, the daughter of Dr. Clinton C. and Freida (Dyer) Green

Gloria graduated from Greencastle High School with the class of 1964.

Gloria married Bill Phillips, and he preceded her in death in 2006.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 2, Brazil Eagles and the Brazil Moose.

She was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the Indiana University Hoosiers.

Gloria enjoyed spending time outdoors, reading and working crosswords beside the fire pit, gardening, playing corn hole, playing with her dogs and cats and watching wildlife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Clinton and Freida Green, and her husband Bill Phillips.

She leaves behind her son, Dake Detro and wife Jennifer of Russellville; a daughter, Dondra Zaring and husband Mike of Greencastle; a stepson, Chad McLin and wife Cathy; grandchildren Chris Minor and wife April, Jeremy Minor and wife Brooke, Shelby Detro, April Detro, Kylee Detro, Michelle Boller and husband Tom, Kimberly Knowling and husband Derek and Nikki Oliver and husband Rickie; great-grandchildren Kaytlin, Elijah, Eli, Emma, Kendall, Ben, Lexie, Trenton, Brendon and Mckinley; a sister, Connie Inman; and a very special companion Gizmo as well as many friends and extended family members.

Services will be conducted at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil, at 1p.m. Saturday, July 26. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
