Cecil M. 'Mick' Lancaster

Cecil M. "Mick" Lancaster, 79, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014.

He was born on Jan. 12, 1935 in Parke County to Virgil M. Lancaster and Thelma Lucille Spurr Lancaster.

Mick was a 1952 graduate of Greencastle High School. He served his state in the Indiana National Guard.

He retired in 1987 from IBM Corp., where he was a staff assistant managing projects.

Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Geraldine M. "Gerry" Brattain Lancaster; two beloved daughters, Vicki L. Wilson and husband Darrell of Greencastle, and Debra K. Ensor of Greencastle; two grandsons, Andrew K. Ensor and fiancée Amanda, and Jacob M. Ensor and fiancée Brittany; great-granddaughter, Layne C. Ensor; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy M. Brattain of Greencastle.

Mick enjoyed bowling, trap shooting, gardening, NASCAR races and IU basketball but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27 from 2-6 p.m. at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Services and interment will be private.
