Hurricane Junior Golf Tour offers more

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

Over the last few years, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) has been growing leaps and bounds!

HJGT has decided to take its tour to a new level by bringing three events to Indiana this fall.

HJGT will allow young golfers in the area to showcase their talents on a few of the best golf courses, including Indiana University Golf Club, Maple Creek Country Club, and The Kampen Course at Purdue University.

The HJGT had 120 events last year, which provided aspiring junior golfers the opportunity to compete at the highest level. Upwards of 8,000 juniors participated at the HJGT's competitive tournaments throughout the east coast. One of the HJGT's primary goals is to prepare junior golfers for the competitive world of college golf.

At least 40 graduating seniors from 2013 signed on as 2014 signees at Division II and III programs as well as major Division I programs such as UVA, OU, Alabama, UCONN, USC, Kansas and more!

The College Prep Series is one of HJGT's unique opportunities that differentiates our tour and allows our juniors to participate in annually. Juniors are always excited to visit college campuses.

It gives them an opportunity to potentially meet golf coaches as well as challenge themselves on college courses. HJGT strives to give golfers the experience and recognition they need to advance in the world of collegiate golf.
