SWCD offering Aug. 21 Natural Resource forum

The Putnam and Owen Soil and Water Conservation Districts each will be offering a Natural Resource Concern Forum this month.

Owen County will be meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 19 from 7-8 p.m. at the local SWCD office. Putnam County will be meeting two days later on Thursday, Aug. 21 from 6-7 p.m. at the local office.

The purpose of these forums is to discuss natural resource concerns of the local county. The information will be sent to state levels to help determine what the grassroots needs of a county.

After all information is collected and compiled the information will be used to determine what the local concerns are. The information will be used to develop programming to address the top resource concerns of the state.

Light refreshments will be available. Persons are asked to RSVP at. Putnam County by calling 653-5716 x3 before Aug. 18.

Reservations will ensure there are enough materials for the forum.
