Clovers volleyball fall to Danville

DANVILLE--The Cloverdale Clovers' varsity volleyball team fell in three sets to the Danville Warriors on Tuesday night.

The set scores were 25-17, 15-25 and 25-10 with Danville winning all three.

The top performers for the Clovers were senior Bailee Stevens scoring six with two aces, and senior Jessica Winders also scoring six with two aces.

"I thought we played well at times," Clovers' coach Kathy Moore said, "We never quit on the ball and had some terrific saves and hits against a very good Danville team."

Stevens also had seven kills six digs and an assist. Winders had one kill and 15 digs.

Senior Lexi Brannerman also played well with two points, eight kills, two digs and a block.

"Our attack is more balanced this year with six different players earning kills tonight," Moore said, "I look forward to continued improvement."

The Clovers open up their home season Thursday night with a West Central Conference matchup against the Cascade Cadets.
