CLOVERDALE -- Nominations are now being accepted for the annual Cloverdale Civic Award.

The award, which is sponsored by the Cloverdale Lions Club, will be presented to an individual who has made a positive difference in the Cloverdale community.

The winner will have his or her name engraved on the permanent plaque that is on display in the Cloverdale Town Hall and will also receive a plaque of their own.

There are many people in the Cloverdale area who donate much of their time and/or money to help make Cloverdale such a special place to live, organizers said. The Cloverdale Lions Club has seen a need to recognize these individuals and to encourage others to become involved.

The public's help is needed in determining who deserves this honor.
