County Jail

One person was booked into the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

*At 2:40 p.m., Nicholas Andrew Robert Tribbett, 22, Greencastle, was arrested by City Police Officer Darrel Bunten at a Ritter Avenue residence in Greencastle for domestic battery and a

probation violation.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department has responded to several calls recently.

* At 8:27 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, GFD responded to a fire alarm at 304 S. Indiana St. that was found to be due to cooking.

* At 3:59 p.m. Friday, Aug 29, GFD performed an odor investigation at 620 E. Tennessee St. after a report of a burnt wire odor. Upon arrival, GFD performed an investigation but no cause for the odor was found.
