Vivian M. (Hall) Holliday passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at the age of 98.

She was born Oct. 17, 1915 to Harry and Olive (Garhart) Hall.

During her career she worked at the Indiana State Farm and Champaign Central High School in Illinois, where she retired the first time.

She then became a house mother at Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at DePauw University in Greencastle, from which she retired the second time at the age of 75.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist where she was a reader, as well as a member of the Mother Church in Boston.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and studying the Bible. She will be greatly by everyone.

Survivors include her daughters, Juliarose Hare (Robert) of Avon, and Billie J. Baldwin of Cloverdale; stepchildren Shirley A. Ward of Anderson and Harold S. Holliday of Florida; grandchildren Lynn Hicks (Mark), Richard Baldwin (Gloria) and Amanda Baldwin; stepgrandchildren Tamara Bair and Jane Perry (Will), as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Private services were conducted by Whitaker Funeral Home on Sept. 3 with Rev. Steve Blaydes officiating. Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
