Defenders of Liberty to hear from Dr. Moses Monday

Thursday, September 4, 2014

"The Breakdown of the Culture and its Effects on Society" will be the topic of discussion at the Monday night meeting of the Greencastle Defenders of Liberty.

Dr. Richard Moss, a board certified otolarynologist, head and neck surgeon in Jasper, will be the featured speaker Sept. 8. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Dixie Chopper Business Center loacted at the Putnam County Airport, 102 Ballard Lane, Greencastle.

Dr. Moss traveled extensively from 1987 to 1990, serving as a visiting surgeon on a voluntary basis in major medical centers throughout Asia. Continued travels with his family throughout his career have given him a worldly view.

He wrote a regular conservative column for the Dubois County Herald for more than 10 years. His columns also have been published in the Indianapolis Star, the Evansville Courier, the Bloomington Herald-Times and other Indiana newspapers.

Moss also maintains a website (richardmossmd.com), a conservative blog (exodusmd.com), recently authored a memoir, "Matilda's Triumph."

Expressing his concerns about the decline in our nation's culture, the dependence on government handouts and a liberal bias in the media, Moss has begun giving presentations and ran for state office.

After his presentation, there will be time for questions.

The public is invited to attend Monday's program and all monthly meetings of the Defenders of Liberty.
