Area 30 to host golf scramble

Friday, September 5, 2014

The Area 30 Career Center will be hosting a golf scramble at Clover Meadows Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 20 to benefit its scholarship program.

The objective of the scramble is to raise money in hopes of presenting scholarships to as many deserving students as possible during its senior awards banquet in May. Scholarships are awarded to students who are either entering the workforce or pursuing postsecondary education and training. Last year the scramble raised more than $3,500.

Check in for the scramble will begin at both 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. with start times at 8:30 a.m or 2 p.m.

There will be prizes and giveaways for both morning and afternoon flights along with a $10,000 hole-in-one prize.

The team registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 12. For a four-person team the cost is $200 with mulligans (two per person) at $5 each. Skirts, a limit of two per team, cost $10 each.

Those wishing to register can drop off registration or mail it to Area 30 Career Center 1 N. Calbert Way, Suite A Greencastle, Ind. 46135.
