GREENWOOD--Smock Golf Course hosted the ISHAA golf regional on Saturday and Greencastle's Lauren Bridgewater made the trip for her last golf match in her Tiger Cub career.

Unfortunately, a frustrated Bridgewater was not pleased at all with her performance as she scored a 99.

"That was combined for two of the worst of the whole season," Bridgewater said. "But hey, it was an experience right?"

Bridgewater was in good spirits after the match and said that there wasn't any particular reason for her high score. She just played the course and focused on her game.

"It really wasn't (difficult)," the senior said. "I just didn't have a good day. I guess the pressure got to me. I'm not really positive what happened."

Bridgewater said she has been receiving help from a Greencastle alum and that has made her golfing better in some areas.

"The pro at our course, Brad Haussin, has been helping me a lot with my shots, like my long distance shots. In the beginning I didn't do so hot but in the end it definitely helped a lot. Other than that my head wasn't in the game today."

Bridgewater shot a 49 on the front nine, which was actually played second after on her back nine she shot a 50.

"I'm glad I'm here," She said. "It's definitely different from sectionals just the girls and the whole atmosphere with so many people watching. I don't think it made me nervous but it definitely made me think about it a lot more. I definitely plan to keep golfing."

Bridgewater has expressed interest in playing at either University of Southern Indidna or the University of Evansville.
