Area 30 hosts College Fair Oct. 8

Area 30 Career Center will again host the annual Putnam County Area College Fair scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The fair is scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. at the Dixie Chopper Hotel and Conference Center at the Putnam County Airport on Greencastle's East Side.

The venue will accommodate the large number of colleges, universities and technical schools that will be sending representatives.

Attendance at the fair provides an opportunity to talk to representatives from numerous colleges concerning admissions, programs of study, financial aid, scholarships, student life, etc.

Education officials stress that it is never too early to begin planning for the future.

Representatives from the following colleges will be available to meet with students and their families: Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, Ball State University, Anderson University, DePauw University, Butler University, Saint Mary's College, Indiana University-Bloomington, IUPUI, Purdue University, University of Evansville, University of Indianapolis, Vincennes University, Franklin College, Hanover College, Ivy Tech Community College, Ashford University, Brown Mackie College, Columbia University, DeVry University, Illinois College, Indiana Tech, Lincoln College of Technology, Manchester College, Marian University, Millikin University, Oakland City University, Ohio Technical College, Robert Morris University, Spalding University, Sullivan University, The Chef's Academy, The University of Findlay, Trine University, University of Southern Indiana, Wabash Valley College, WyoTech and more.
